I have an idea...

If only everyone would give up smoking and eat healthily, this would also reduce the pressure on the NHS... Permanently.

Just got to thank Deb on here, she was getting a few bits of shopping when she finished work today. Spotted an elderly lady looking for some chicken portions (All sold out) So she gave the Lady the ones in her basket.

The shelves may be empty but the hearts of the lads & lasses that are working in the supermarkets are not.

After eventually getting home from Tenerife 4 days after our flight was cancelled it was back to work today for myself and the wife. A request to take the 3 missed working days as extended holiday was refused by the company so 3 days without pay, 32 years service means nothing and I'm just a number to them I guess.
An email from the flight company for delayed and cancelled flights states no compensation will be payed to us or any other customer because of the virus.
My wife being a hairdresser cut a womans hair today who said she'd just been to Currys to get her mum a new fridge freezer as it had stopped working, she jokingly said to the assistant they couldn't be selling many as there wasn't much food on the shelves to which the assistant replied they couldn't keep up with the demand and had sold out because of people coming in for freezers to store food away and bigger fridge freezers.

The government has relaxed the hours for drivers, looks good but the measures will not make a massive difference to the supply of the shops as every distribution centre (suppliers and supermarkets) is at capacity. I will spend more time waiting today than working.
