Ah so I guessed wrong. The fuel trim at idle that has been discussed must just be an idle speed adjustment then. Has your car always vibrated at idle or has it got worse over time? You seem to have covered everything so if its always done it then sorry for suggesting this but it could be an imbalance in the engine itself. Mike |

T4
MIKE: the tickover rpm can be adjusted in 10rpm steps via the T4,
The car has always been rough on idle but since it was my first diesel I assumed that it was normal. As you say, I seem to have done all I can so will have to live with it. An interesting point is that I have just removed my Synergy 1 module and the car definitely drives more smoothly but the tickover is still rough. |

It was a predecessor to the 160 modification to the engine's ECU firmware, to make the CDT(I) more drivable. The Synergy was a owner plug in 'tuning box' to improve the CDT(I)'s output.
The 160 involved taking your car along to one of the guys on this forum for some revised firmware to be installed, or sending the engine ECU off to be modified. The 160 was the better, much safer (for the engine) and cheaper option, by far.
