Bumper repair - hit a hare!

Well after a lovely night out last night I was driving along a country road back to our house and a ****** hare ran out in front of me whilst I was doing 50mph, I hit it head on and as a result I have moderate damage to my front off side lower part of the bumper and lower mesh.

The Bumper is still all there but it has splintered it and broke the bonding on the mesh. Can anyone recommend a suitable method (or product) to "glue" the splintered parts back together please? I am going to remove the bumper so that I can reinforce the cracked parts with fibreglass matting form the back.

Luckily the damage is not too noticeable front on and I definitely came away better off than the hare.

And yes I have had lots of "hare" comments already from Trisch

and it is just more than a "hare" line crack

the damage could have been a lot worse and the poor hare was huge.

I have seen a bumper repair kit advertised in Halfords which appears to be a resin and fibreglass matting but wondered if anyone had a similar experience and found anything more suitable.

On the bright side it means that I am now forced to remove the bumper and do a couple of jobs I have been putting off.

You could try "Regaine", wont do much for the bumper, but it is a "Hare Restorer"
