Morning Freddie, I was hoping for a dry day as we're taking the window out and installing the new one today

Morning all, a nice dry start here. I'll be going to Aldi shortly to stock up on Guinness and Leek sausages that they have on offer . Get them before they're all gone

Morning all - eventually. Missus has gone out for the morning, so I was able to have a really long soak in the shower - without fear of any "how much longer are you going to be in there" type comments
Cool, dank and grey here - and the temperature is dropping again - there's even a threat of a touch of snow again on Saturday.
I'm still hiding from newspapers and radio/tv stations in regard my comments in the local paper - had Tyne Tees TV and the Daily Express chasing me yesterday

Cool

Been trying for 3 days now to get a doctors appointment. Keeping getting told that either the day's appointments are all full or phone back tomorrow at 08.00 to get an appointment. Great system when you phone as naturally you are in a queue. I actually got position no.2 this morning before I got cut off by the surgery.

Eventually I got through only to be told no more appointments till Monday. So I got the out of hours doctors phone number. Phone anytime between 2-9pm. Phoned and got the engaged signal. After 14 attempts I finally got through. Explained why I needed an appointment. Very nice lady was not surprised at me not getting an appointment.

But she got me an appointment at 19.15 this evening at my own surgery. You couldn't make it up if you tried.

My surgery you phone at 8:30 to try to grab on of the few on the day appointments. I inadvertently phoned a few minutes early one time and got this real snotty cow who made a point of pressing home that they didn't accept phone calls until 8:30 . . . . I felt like saying why did you answer the f...... thing then but bit my lip
