Default Tax disc holder warning!!!!!

I bought a nice chrome tax disc holder 6 months ago and for some demented reason I did not buy the twist off back type but the one that's held together with small (very flippen small)allen bolts.

I spent my half hour lunch break putting my tax disc in the blooming thing today and I still have two more allen bolts to put in..............you have to be a continents and have an awful lot of patience if you choose one of these

That design's great for Motorbike's!

My wife brought me two of those magnetic adhesive type and even though the windscreen was cleaned and dried properly they both fell off overnight!

So that's another one to avoid

I've now gone back to the old tried + tested ones for less than a pound each!

I have the twist off type in the R25, TF and now the ZT. Mainly because i dont want to advertise the dealers that sold me the cars....along with those damn window stickers....

Should have fitted one of these..

Mine is still attached to the windscreen after 2 years..

Here is what the seller said.

That's given me a great idea Dave. Next time the tax disc runs out I'm going to change the windscreen. It will be much quicker.

Reaper, I hate those garage stickers. First thing I do when I get home is peel the tings off. They are usually stuck onto the heated screen elements

My tax disc holder is also the phone hands-free aerial, but it refuses to stick to the screen, so it's been laying face-up on the top of the dashboard for the last couple of years or more, restrained from sliding about by the aerial wire.

If challenged, my defence is that it's still easily readable from the outside, and it's not obscuring any part of the windscreen, but I don't think it's not legal anyway!

Baxlin.... go to B&Q and get "No More Nails" on a roll. Basically really strong double sided tape. That'll hold it.

JP..... I have those holders. They ain't that bad.

Cheers
