Thanks for the links, but I'm afraid the second of those was actually the address I'd been messaging since mid-October - six emails in total...

I have now received a reply from Sean (Radioguy) (thanks Reebs for passing the thread on), and an offer of a replacement unit, but as of yet don't know when that might happen. Now eagerly awaiting a reply with a delivery estimate, and to arrange return of the faulty unit.

Good news then.
Keep us all in the loop and update when you have a reply and the replacement set.

I have had issues with my Naval including the stuck CD and Sean replaced it. I have contacted him a few times about the sat nav and he has gotten back to me in a couple of hours.

Default Comet has now landed

My Comet arrived this morning - was impressed with the packing - first class.
Thank you Sean.
Would appreciate if anyone in Yorkshire could assist in fitting. Will pay.
In looking at the rear of the 'new' does one have to get a adapter for the Ariel?
No point in reinventing the wheel when some have already been fittdr to our cars. Any pointers would be appreciated and thanks
John

Just to add a bit of information to the topic. From my e-mail exchange with Sean/Radioguy I know that he is doing very hard to get things into working order as quickly as possible following a kind of a surrealistic business-related mishap which struck him in late 2017. I am sure he would not want me to discuss details publicly, I can only say that I still have trust in him and his services, only the “patience and time” component has become a much bigger factor. I still need some things and info from Sean for my Comet, too, and he has asked for some further understanding. From his feedback I understand that he is really busy (and frustrated) and has been so throughout the last weeks and months, so he probably can’t respond to all the inquiries as promptly as we (and he) would want to.

Don’t get me wrong, I am not his personal advocate at all, but I have been buying stuff from him for many years now, and he has not let me down so far (even when I almost lost all my nerves with the Star, which he then replaced with a Comet).

Which reminds me - I need to send him an e-mail this weekend to investigate where do we stand at present LOL
