This will probably be my first 75+ZT meet, so looking forward to meeting some keen and knowledgable owners. Just over an hour, and a gallon of diesel from home!

Shildon Railway Museum
When we have previously held a meet at shildon it has been free for us, however I have been in constant contact with them for around 2 months, and had to send them around 10 emails, and have just had a reply from them for the venue, and they want £400 for the car show to take place. See Below. We currently have around 27 Members for our forum planning on attending, and expect around 15/20from Durham MG Club making a total of around 42, which would mean that each attending would be around £10 per car.
I am going to go back to them and see if they will reduce the cost, but not happy with Shildon at all. What do you think about this ? "Hi Stuart Apologies for not getting back to you sooner Having discussed this with our Commercial Manager we would only be able to take your booking on the basis of a one off payment of £400-00 from your group This payment is to cover all of our health and safety costs associated with your event Any income generated from car owners would be retained by your club Please let me know if you need any further details Regards Gary Gary Campbell MUSEUM MANAGER E: [email protected] T: 01904-685782 M: 07773-154458 W: www.locomotion.org.uk |

Ronnie
That might be an option, I have just sent them a reply and see what they say. As Durham MG Club have liability insurance and that should cover the H & S they mentioned, and I told them that we would provide staff to park the cars up Lets see what they say Stu |
