Hi,decided to investigate a slight exhaust blow on the launch car, thought it was a loose connector into the rear box but turned out to be a welded add on piece about 2 I before the pipe goes into the silencer, managed to make up a sleeve to put round it and secured with jubilee clips.Still considering a S/S system for the future.Replaced 3 exhaust rubber hangers, one had split and was not holding the other two were close to splitting and near to falling off as well.Regards Ry..

Had my metal thermostat finally fitted (kv6). It had been sitting and at one point lost for the last 6 years so finally some piece of mind.

Finally gapped the spark plugs and got my 1.8T running right, no more misfire!! Only took 2 years...ahem. Then some robbing so and so broke in to my shed and nicked all my tools!!

Fitted a E-Zee tourer tail light plastic socket and threaded socket (wasn't able to crimp this too sucessfully) so can now fit the brand-new rear light.

Waiting for new brake shoes and bits from DMGRS and seals for the failed trolley jack before I can get it back on its wheels.

Fitted offside sandstone B Pillar, done the same mistake as i did yesterday with door card. Steel female clips already in situ, and steel female clips already on new panel. Took a few attempts before i realised my mistake, trying to get 2 females to come together, naughty me.

Refitted my rear courtesy lights after they fell out of the roof all by themselves....again!

Used Sugru mouldable glue to make the 'hooks' at the rear of the light (but not before I ordered a replacement on ebay ) and so far so good, hopefully once fully cured they will not break.

I finally took out my £500 ZT 190 for a run, I've owned it for about 3 weeks but never had the chance to go out because the tyres were borderline illegal.

It drove really well until I had to brake, a bit of shudder under braking that will need investigating although new discs and pads were on the to do list anyway.

I also definitely confirmed to myself that the stainless exhaust system HAS to go, so expect that in the free section soon.
