I'd washed them both, so didn't fancy rolling around the floor in the wet. I'm at work when there is daylight now, so will put some in and check at weekend! Blackie does purr They look nice together when clean. Yin and Yang!

The Haynes manual mistakenly states that the clutch hydraulics are fed from the brake master cylinder reservoir, like on the old Astras. Even on the Astra, it won't cause a complete loss of fluid in the event of a leak on the clutch side though, as the pipe stabbing in the master cylinder for the clutch is relatively high up, so you would lose the clutch and still have plenty of fluid left for the brakes in the event of a leak on the clutch side. |

Oops, methinks I should make it a priority to check my clutch to see if I have any fluid left in it ............... just found out where they've hidden the reservoir

Finally got to check this properly, and after buying two lots of brake fluid it turns out there was more in it than I thought! (Thank goodness)
It didn't take too much topping up, so I don't have as big an issue as once feared. MOT this time next week, fingers crossed it goes through so I can get it to Andy to sort the mess of an engine! |
