Has it only managed 3,300 miles 'cos it's a Cowley cow? It will probably start to rust as soon as it gets all-weather use! Unless you are into rarity and like waxoyling and preserving, it would not be my choice, - especially at that price!

This one has already been discussed on the forum, undertaker purchased for £1400.00 on the understanding that he would drive it and get belts replaced as I understand. Members got it going!

I'm not aware Cowley's rust anymore than the common ones do?

Andrew, I really don't understand your post at all. I have a Cowley built car which lives outside in all weathers and it is now nineteen years old and in very good shape despite never being Waxoyled. I have also seen many Longbridge built cars which don't seem any different.

Can you explain your rather unusual view please?

Simon

Cowley cars don't rust because they were built in Cowley. These cars were the first produced, so obviously there just simply older ,and as with any car ,the older they are the more chance of rust issues.
It's great to see some of these cars appearing on the market that have no markable mileage commanding high prices. It's a sure sign the 75/Zt is a future classic with appreciating value. It only means good news for all the dedicated owners here :-) :-)

I couldn't quite understand either... Mine is 18 shortly, 160k plus and used as a daily workhorse but still pretty clean and tidy.

Optimistically priced for a club, no harm in trying though. A lovely example, shame it's not a connie.
