The company I was working for at the time had a policy of "do not drink or smoke, do not bring the company into disrepute whilst in the presence of the patient, no profanity" and in fact after every trip, they would write to the patient and ask if the Doctor or nurse smoked or drank alcohol in the their presence. I remember doing an air ambulance from the Mediterranean with an anaesthetist as the patient we were flying back to the UK who had to be anaesthetised and put into a medically induced coma for the flight. The doctor did his job okay but on another Medi-Vac, he was sacked from smelling of drink. I gather he had been on a final warning.
Did you operate out of Bristol when doing medivacs Phil? Re the samovar it was very ornate and a one-off commission to the best of my understanding. Some years later I believe that it might have been removed from its position of display after another concern about it came to light.

Evening all, All the power tools out of the garage now except for the battery maintainer which I've just put on the Rover overnight. Looks like we're in for some low temps next week

Pizza & herby potato wedgies for tea tonight.

Few years ago Ging asked me to make a curry because some of her friends were coming. I either screwed up the amount of chillies or used more fiery ones than the recipe intended. Seriously this curry was so hot it could have stripped paint at 10 paces but Ging and her friends loved it

Cool

Good morning everyone.

Looks to be another nice day. It was t shirt weather yesterday whilst gardening.

Got BT coming today, hopefully. They cancelled the first appointment, failed to show up on the second appointment.

Morning Steve, welcome to the day. To answer your question, the flights were mostly from within the M25, Heathrow, Gatwick, Biggin Hill and other airfields, never out of Bristol.

If rumours about the cause of the loss prove to be correct then no insurer would likely pay out. Lol.

Plus what the pilot flies for the foreseeable future would be interesting too ... is it a bird ... is it a plane? No, it's a bliddy desk.
