Well, the pastry is in the fridge, chillin'

First time I've made pastry . . . . it looks like uncooked pastry . . . . not committing myself beyond that.

19:00 update

It looks like an apple pie, going in the oven in a few minutes. Find out in a while once Ging gets home whether it actually tastes like an apple pie.

Evening all, We've had really heavy showers rolling through here today, Lots of standing water about.
I've been asking our daughter to bring some bags of horse manure from the stables for ages so I can get it worked into the raised beds/greenhouse ready for next year, The first time she uses our clean MG she loads it up with big bags of manure , her car is no different to the floor of the stables, Bleddy filthy I guess I shouldn't complain.
Roast chicken thighs with lemon & herb rice & peas for tea.

I always buy the ready made pastry in sheets from asda, There's less cleaning up to do afterwards

Begger! I've fell for oven cleaning duties as the last lasagne I made bubbled all over the inside of the oven

I had to settle for Brillo pads as that was all we'd got to tackle it. Hammer & chisel jobby on some burnt on places

Rather surprised myself with the apple pie last night.

Even the shortcrust pastry worked.
