Default drivers door handle

My drivers door wont open from the inside I've got the door card off expecting to see a broken hook but all is intact so problem must be at the other end anyone offer advice ta.

Well finally got round to changing the drivers door actuator today and guess what... The flipping cable had somehow come unhooked at the actuator end, still located in all the clips etc when we took it all apart so goodness knows how it unhooked itself !!
