Andy as I will remember him.

Absolutely gutted for you, what a crying shame - glad you escaped injury though, that's the most important thing.
Did the driver of the BMW get caught in the end? (Deserves to, can't let people like that loose on the streets).
Good luck finding a replacement you are happy with.

I think a lot of us will be changing them soon Dave. After all, they are getting on a bit. Lates told me that mine were ok on the KV6 when he did the belts last year. Was there much that gave it away! that it had packed up?

The driver did get caught. The right rear wheel was torn off the BMW and it came to a stop about 100m down the road where it hit a Nissan. The driver made a run for it but a cyclist ran him down (literally! ) and held him in a headlock until the police arrived. The Police were there within a minute as they has been following him when he did a runner. 3 cars from the major crimes section (One of which was driving on his run-flat and a broken wheel after hitting a kerb), along with a dog car. They had their rifles out and took him into custody. I just sat on a concrete barrier and watched the show. Good thing as my bell had been rung pretty good.
I am already negotiating for a car in Germany (LHD ZT-T) so hope to be back on the road in a ZT in a couple of months. In the meantime I have pulled my MGF out of storage and insured it.

Replaced rear hubs, as nearside making noise, and fell apart when taken off.

Default A little painting

Re-painted two of the three sills that have been welded, OSR and NSR, will finish the NSF tomorrow as the knifing putty is a bit slow to set.

Its a far from perfect job, but quite an improvement, especially the OSR which had needed extensive welding for its MOT in November 2019, a year before I bought it.

I only have on street parking but that was no issue as its a quiet road.

I recently changed the upper mount Dave and there was little difference in the vibration, I was quite surprised that this one was this bad, it also came out really easy.
It’s now as smooth as a diesel will ever be. 😂
