This was the cause of the more than normal vibration.

So a new one fitted and back to the normal vibes, an easy enough job, it took longer to remove and refit the undertray, still, it does a good job of keeping it dry and clean. 🙄

Can not believe the difference a little bit of rubber makes. Glad you found out the reason for the bad vibes. Little tip Dave, put some tape round the aircon pipe where it is rubbing on the bonnet felt before it rubs through. Did mine years ago with some aluminium tape.

Fitted a new pair of Bosch wiper blades today
The drivers side one had a big black aerofoil fitted . this did nothing to enhance the elegant lines of my moonstone tourer.

I soon had that pulled off !

It's better but still not right, so I'm going to have to change the hydramount as well, I'm going to have to buy or borrow a tool as I just know its not coming out easily without a fight.

Funnily enough I was looking at the pipe and thought I need to cover that with some ally tape rather than some black insulating tape.

Replacement door seal, door pad and central locking actuator fitted, now have CL on all doors for first time for a few years
Also removed front bumper to try to get it fitting better, not hugely successful but bonnet does open and close better
Think it’s just a mk2 "thing"

Use some of that bumper foam insert stuff as packing, the problem is that the foam infill is too small thus allowing the bumper to drop.
I cut some from an old infill into wedges and packed it out to a perfect fit.

I have a pic somewhere.

Default Hot Wheels

Took her to MGR John at Blaydon. The NSF wheel was running hot, even after a short trip and was causing concern.

To put it mildly, the caliper had got stuck and the brake was binding to such an extent that it was impossible to turn the wheel when the car was on the jacks. In effect I had been driving with the handbrake on!

Will be returning tomorrow to collect her after fitting of new discs, pads and a couple of other items. John said I can expect considerably more MPG from then on. One consolation was that while I was there I sourced some pre Project Drive items that I was seeking.
