Some talk of Alexander and some of Hercules, of Hector and Lysander, and such great names as these. but none can compare to Marinabrian
Forgive the artistic license Seriously, echo all that's been said, sadly, in this case, It's not what you know, it's who you know |

As said above, helped me locate a part on offer from someone else with no benefit to himself.
I was hoping to get to see him once pandemic ended. JohnnyBG |

Well all these wonderful comments about Brian. I've had the pleasure of knowing him for well over 30 years and he's always been the same . He wouldn't hesitate to help anyone despite time or distance. I don't come on here much so had no ldea that he was no longer on the forum otherwise I would of ask him what had happened. If anyone can shed some light on what happened please do send me a message.
I'm sure he would still be willing to help out other owners . If this forum is to keep going it's going to need people like Brian to help keep these cars on the road. Especially as both cars and owners are getting older.

I wondered why inner tubes had disappeared from tyres. Brian sent me a link to an article that explained it perfectly. Without that knowledge I may have made a bad decision.

Sorry I don't. And it was years ago now.
Tell you what, I'll look back through my posts and see if I can find it EDIT - well that was quick. I thought there was an option to look at all the posts I've done, but I can't find it now. The gist of the article though was that on tyres with an inner tube, a puncture can shred the tyre and cause a major incident, whereas without an inner tube a puncture just leads to a deflation.

My wife has successfully shredded several tubeless tyres. I think there is more to MB's post than what you've mentioned. There are run-flat tyres. Last edited by COLVERT; 17th March 2021 at 19:46.. |
