Spent another cold morning on the car, this time unblocking the washer jet filter and cleaning the bottle out - absolutely clogged, all clean now. Also found another bodge where the washer pipe had been cut, now made good with a proper connector.

Cool

Started the Bear up and went essential shopping. Great to hear that noise from the pipes.

Yesterday I filled up for the first time since October! Checked and my petrol for 12 months is £1100 less than the previous 12. T'other half wants to spend it on raised beds....

Had to run down to London. After being sat since Christmas it was lovely to be out and purring along again - and glad I'd flushed the heater :¬)

Just back in from polishing the top (i.e. dirty) halves of the 11 cars which live outside, including 3 75s and 1 ZT (the monogram qualifies for one of the garages!). Needed to get going - felt one degree yesterday after having my jab on Friday, but back to normal? today. Only 2 degrees outside, but wasn't cold after the initial shock.

Hi Dave,

It opens about halfway then you have to push it fully open, it has to be physically pulled shut but the last bit there is very little resistance.

I fitted the new front numberplate this morning. 22 years had taken its toll on the old one which was almost see through in places! I got out my fixing kit to find that I had run out of white cups and covers. A quick look in my "joinery" stuff and I found that my kitchen fitters kit had almost identical ones which, after a slight rub with a small round file, fitted the screws perfectly. Numberplate cup and screw kit £2.99 a set of four. Kitchen cup and screw kit £2.29 for a set of 50 ! Go figure!!!
