Hi genpk, im doing same job but dont know car-side cable colours for SWC, do i have to take steering wheel front off to see colours on switches, or can you remember..i was wondering where the old aeriel fits.. now i believe its a case of FAKRA adapter.. also my mic lead has a 3mm jack which fits old radio (Navall) but new one is 4 pin..2 options cut end off and splice relevant one.. or thread new mic all the way through from drivers grab handle, (where)previous owner had installed it..? which would you do?....cheers

The car side steering wheel control cables are Blue/Purple and Blue/Orange. Either on their own in a green mini ISO connector or pins 2 & 3 of the grey ISO connector, depending on which stereo was originally fitted,.

fuse?
hi Ray, i understand now the wiring set up but, ive connected all up and no sign of life from unit...also heater not working..!! so im considering returning Erisin unit, but when refitting my old unit,.. that won't switch on either..still no heater..
so thinking that fuse may be shared with audio unit i looked in my 75 handbook and the fuse box layout is completely different..ive a later fusebox apparently..but no way of knowing which fuse is for what.. so is there a diagram on here anywhere to enlighten me...i hope it's a fuse because no heater will not be good for travelling to work tomorrow...can you help please...? |

Check for power on Light/Green White cable when the ignition is 'On', fed from fuse 11 in the passenger fuse panel.
