Well for some reason with bulb in it blows the lighter fuse, left bulb and holder out and it’s ok, so mines staying dark too!

Think it may be the tab you can just see in pic that’s causing my issue but tbh had the car 6 years and lack of illumination never been an issuue. Have a USB adapter in there that does light up when you push it all the way in

Replaced my warped scuttle panel with a better second hand one and renewed the seal that sits on it, against the windscreen. While scuttle was Off I ran sealant around the clips, don’t think they were leaking but as well doing it while I was in there.
An the wee lad hoovered it out so saved me a job there

Trial fitted my replacement BMW widescreen display and this one works ok.

Just need to source the appropriate tuner for it.

I have found that the Select and Info buttons do not work, and doing a bit of digging do I either need to reinstall an older version of software on the DVD drive or fit a BM54 tuner (currently a BM24)?

Can anyone confirm which is correct - I don't necessarily want to buy a BM54 tuner if it's not needed?

Reassembled the dosing pump after giving it a coat of paint, it might be awkward trying to polish this due to its location .😂

Oh I love this cold weather...

Just taken rear seat out and no sticker to explain what I need to order ggrrr

Rimmers say its up to me to decide what colour I want to order but they can't advise or help in choosing without the sticker info...

That looks nice and clean Dave. Had a look at mine a couple of years ago and covered it in waxoyle. Must have another look when I get round to re-commissioning it. Started it up yesterday and only turned the key and away it went. Ran it for around 30 minutes at between 1000-2000 rpm to get it properly warmed up and put some juice back in the battery. Once again checked brake disc’s and they are still nice and shiny. Operated the clutch a number of times, along with the brakes. Problem is, I am enjoying the KV6 with its automatic box, and cruise control. I don’t know why, but I still think that the diesel is a more solid car than the petrol. I have got until the end of June to make up my mind which one I am going to keep. After having the timing belts done in August, it seems a shame to get rid of it though. Time will tell.

I fitted Sachs spring at the rear. Was going to fit two, but when I measured the height on both sides to the underside of the top of the wheel arch, the height was the same, as it was with my wife sitting in the middle of the back seat, so did not bother. Measured the spring metal diameter and it was exactly the same as the original spring diameter.

I feel your pain. In the end, I studied what was still available and what the tech specs were, and went for best-guess. It worked out fine.

Dougie.

I've just ordered complete strut kits for both sides at least the fronts should be level.. if the back dont match hight I might just have to use some spring risers like I used to fit for towing the caravan haha
