Drove a 152 mile trip today, longest journey since buying my 4th 75/ZT ( not all at same time, at different intervals) back in August, never missed a beat.... good old diesel engine!! - needs a wash & polish now!

Isn't it odd . We drive 150 miles in a classic car and praise it for getting their and back.
Then drive 7000 miles a year locally and don't thank it once.
I'm guilty of the same comments by the way.
It's just who we travel in a linier direction we presume that it's going to break and require yanking back by our preferred back up recovery subscription

I have no qualms jumping in any of ours for a long journey, last years trip to the Netherlands proved that, they really are great cars for eating up the miles.

I'll quite happily take my ZT on long runs, they're great long distance cars - I had a 250 odd mile trip home with it when I bought my current ZT. Pretty much motorway all the way home so just stuck in on cruise control.

Is that a serious question or tongue in cheek? (the bearings can't be split open as far as I know - well, they can but not without breaking them!)

It’s definitely a serious question, the seal can be gently levered off the bearings to allow new grease to be added, I always do this when fitting new ones (or when a spring has to be changed)
