Ok great, its my daughters boyfriends mate that owns this powder coating place,so might take advantage and get a few more bits done😀.next on my list is removing the engine and repainting the bay, just as you have done, its the only thing letting it down now👍

Very enjoyable watching your progress. Mine is coming up to 140000 miles, so it might be my turn in the future.

Hi I’ve been reading this thread while waiting to board a plane home, outrageous dedication here to the MG brand. I’m even more impressed with the fact it’s been done outside! Your neighbors are defo in there with you. Having done my Sons ZR at Christmas full respray and trim change along with new headlining it’s all worth it for the finished smile. You have done a truly remarkable job here on one of the lesser MG-ZTT builds. Fabulous.

Would it not be easier to tap it slightly larger and use a new bolt?

What about conversion to a manual tensioner?
The manual tensioner mounting hole is in a different place, which would allow you to drill and tap a new hole. Then use a VVC front belt 26x143.........just a thought |

You should, as of now, be added to the Sacred Brotherhood of MG Engineers! If such Brotherhood does not exist I propose to instate it right now and make you the first honorable member!
