Morning all - at the unearthly hour of 8.26am
I's a bit grey and cloudy here - forecast is for a bit of sun, but there's potential for thunder showers later in the day.
I had to get up early this morning to take delivery of a new electric kettle from Argos - Angela switched the last one on yesterday and it immediately popped the circuit breaker at the distribution board.
It's easy to buy a kettle isn't it?
- NO!
Because SWMBO is left handed (or cack handed as we say up here), and I'm right - we need two things:
  1. a circular, 360° base, so the kettle handle can be at the right side for us both
  2. TWO water gauges - one for each side
Not that easy to find I assure you
£39.00 later - ouch !!! - we've got one

Cool

Temperature is currently 26 degrees and is climbing. Shopping was a doddle this morning, no queues.

I'm rather concerned that the remains of my bottle of Merlot from yesterday may go off in the warmth. It probably won't survive 'til this afternoon, so I'd better have it for lunch I think
