As my current insurance is up on 24th.... did bit of planning and got compare quote a month ago( 24th Feb)..... pleasantly surprised my 03 plate 1.8T ZTT came back with quote of £305... (monthly payments).... and that was with declared LPG & K&N air filter mods..... got through Dial Direct Insurance (AXA underwriter) ....included legal protection & free RAC breakdown..... so works out about £32 a month cheaper than current insurance....... got 12 yrs no claims and quoted for 14000 miles including business miles..... pretty darn good I think!!!! Or just lucky??😁

There is just so many variables to consider. The biggest benifit for me is the policy being no claims required and breakdown nationwide.

I just called Peter Best as i'm thinking of getting a ZT for day to day use and semi retiring my Cowley and i got quoted £183 fully comp with legal cover, breakdown cover, 3000 miles per year and agreed value... Not unreasonable compared to Endsleigh who i'm with currently who wanted £309 for her but when i asked about a ZT CDTI i'm thinking about Endsleigh quoted £1100?????
Unfortunately a quote that large would put the ZT out of the question but Peter Best ran out of time to pass me over to their std car dept who could quote against Endsleigh for the ZT. Guy in the classic car dept felt their policy charge would likely be comparable at worst to my current policy so i think its worth a call back tomorrow.
