Default Back on the Road Again!!!! Yippee!!

Good Morning All,

My ZTT is finally back on the road, passed MOT on Thursday/Friday, admittedly with some advisories, but nothing that can't be sorted (when i scrape more funds together.

I would like to pass on Massive thanks to Paul at PK Automotives in Wigan, (he worked for MGRover for over 20 yrs) for the work he did in the last week to get me back on the road.

The list of works he did to get my car through was:

Replaced offside rear registration lamp bulb
Replaced nearside rear indicator bulb
Replaced missing offside front headlamp clip
Fitted new Catalytic Convertor assembly (I supplied)
Erased Engine Management Catalyst Fault Codes
Replaced offside & Nearside Rear Coil Springs
Replaced front to offside & nearside brake pipes (x2)
Stripped rear brake discs to sort out retaining bolts & shoes
Adjusted brake shoes
& MOT

All done for what I thought was a reasonable cost of £531.60
Having put so much into this car (LPG conversion, front shocks, cambelt/waterpump, new windscreen, replacement front wing - to be fitted yet, new discs & pads all round, 4 tyres less than 18 months old) I couldn't face scrapping or selling it, so felt justified to keep the old girl on the road.

Incidentally, the Rover 25 I bought to see me over the last 3 months, disintegrated before my eyes, starter motor packed up (replaced with 2nd hand one) then it overheated, HGF suspected, and to cap it off the exhaust snapped in two!!! so had to cycle 20 mile round trip to work over the last week!!!!

It feels so good to be back in my ZTT.... as stated in another thread, not many 1.8T left.... just like to add even less ZTTs
