Default The Cat & Lion Meet - Tuesday 3rd January 2017

Hi Everyone

Because of the debacle over the Christmas meal, my feedback to Greene King and the subsequent assurances of their customer relations and the new pub manager, http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=255909 , I've taken it upon myself to start this thread about the first meeting of 2017.

Primarily this is due to the offer to reserve a table for us, give us a discount and the promise to ensure we receive the service we had the right to expect on 18th December.

The new manager, Richard Paxton, requested that we let him know in advance roughly how many people he could expect to attend. I'm therefore starting a list with the names of people who've confirmed they intend going. Can anyone else who's going please let me know before New Year, so I can pass on the total number to the Cat & Lion.

Thanks
Robert

Attending 3rd January

Frank (Robert)
J1mbo
Paul
CLINTE (Ian)
MDMH757 (Maurice)

Default Thanks Maurice

Happy New Year.

That's fine.

Improvement with the leg has slowed down a lot, but that's only to be expected after the initial amazing 3-day transition from almost unable to move with a broken leg > mobile and weight bearing.

See you Tuesday.

Robert

Default Latest Communication With Cat & Lion

I hope your Christmas hasn't been too hectic, Richard and wish you all the best for 2017.

Six of us should definitely turn up at about 19.00 on Tuesday.

Seven other people, who came to the Cat & Lion 18th December expecting a Christmas meal, won't be coming on Tuesday, due to other commitments. They haven't ruled out coming to future meetings on the evening of the 1st Tuesday and lunchtime on the 3rd Sunday of each month. From what you've said, I trust some arrangement can be made in recognition of their disappointment 18th December.

There are others in the car owners' club whose attendance at social meetings is sporadic and who might not have seen the postings on the forum. So I can't guarantee that only 6 people will come on Tuesday, but it's very unlikely to be more than 7 or 8.

I look forward to meeting you on Tuesday.

Regards

Robert Gibbons

Hi Robert, want to say thanks for all the effort and following up you have done to arrange last nights meeting and food.
Only six arrived but it was as usual enjoyable, company always good and I thought the food and service were also good. Richard, the new manager, seemed a nice chap so lets hope the trend for the better in the catering and service continue at the Cat & Lion.

Thanks Dennis

Agree totally with the sentiments above. Food and service were much better although actually receiving food would have been an improvement on last time.

Thanks Robert for all you have done regarding this.

Things didn't go quite as smoothly as I'd hoped, due mainly to having been delayed at work and arriving almost last, so sorry about that.

Yes, I hope last night was indicative of things to come.

Robert
