Three of us turned up today to try out the Cat and Lion at Stretton. The verdict was positive, the pub is not too scruffy and not to posh, so just right for a car meeting. You find your own tables as you did at the Hollow Tree and order from the bar. Food quality for the price paid was very good, better than the Hollow Tree.
Plenty of parking at the rear, split into different areas so all good there. This will now be our venue for monthly Tuesday & Sunday meetings at least until we see what if anything they do with the Hollow Tree. Last edited by vindaloo; 18th September 2016 at 18:25.. |

Having seen the Popping Chocolate Pizza, I'm looking forward to the Flaming Christmas Pudding. Wonder what upgrade you can get with it?
Quality and value of food seemed good across the range. There are tables at the back, away from the main road but, at the weekend, sitting out front might be good to watch the exotica go by. Staff got our vote, too.

Drive Me To Drink
We'll have to start taking it in turns, Jim. They've got Abbot Ale!
