Well yes but why?

Plenty of times I have jumped in the car and without need to manual operate anything have appreciated the fact that my FBH has automatically started up once the engine is running

The FBH does warm the engine up a lot quicker than the engine !!!!

Took a CDTi out for a blast the other day and Id forgotten just how long they take to warm up compared to the V8

Because I start work at 6am, I'm planning to go down the timer / remote / parking heater route, to defrost the car with out waking the neighbours.

Oh for a garage...

I would go down the remote/timer route- the timer is the easiest option if you work fixed hours. Plus it's another gdaget to play with

Well, I've acquired a 1533 for £25 (Bargin) and I'm currently after a remote, so hopefully that'll sort that.......just got to install it, along with everything else...
