At that mileage, I would also suggest you check your Intercooler hose connections, lower engine mount and front wishbone rear bushes.
Well, you did ask what else?

PCV changed with BMW mod unit,no change in symptoms can only describe it like a petrol engine missing at mid range, could it be an injector?

Nagging wife please help
As above had the car into garage and still no idea, since doing filters and PCV wife reckons it is now worse feels like missing ie ignition HT problem if it was a petrol but its not its a cdti 87K Poor jumpy acceleration mid range used to feel worse at deaceleration but now jumpy on the way up and down revs.

Hi, I would run some injector cleaner in your next tank of fuel, sounds like it could be an injector.
Also worth cleaning your EGR valve, tend to be quite dirty at this mileage.

I would check the sensor on the side of the engine its about 6inches from the fuel filter. Its the one the synergy plugs into.I had an injector changed to solve my starting problems, which as cured it,but the next day it became lumpy and the plug wasnt in firm.No problems since touch wood.
