Default 3 speed fan please

Hello Can anybody please help. I'm looking for a 3 speed fan for a 75 Diesel.

Hi Tony,

What’s the fault? It’s likely that there will be a simpler (and cheap) solution.

well I was getting the whale noises, no fan working at all.

So you've pressed the windscreen demist button and walked to the radiator grille and the fan isn't running, yes?

If so, you have nothing more than one or two worn out motor brushes. The additional work to renew them is removal of the motor end plate and a bit of soldering. Arctic has published an excellent pictorial guide. Buy the brushes from Engineering Carbon Products Ltd. not e-bay.

If you choose to buy a complete 3 speed motor and control box make sure that it's from a diesel and cross your fingers that it doesn't have worn down brushes like yours!

You can also fit a 2 speed replacement. This too must be from a diesel and should have the original silver resistor (prone to failure) replaced with a gold version.
