Default top 10 list of potential modern classics

I get an honestjohn newsletter now and again, the latest one has a list of petential classics. The rover 75 is at number 7

No mention of a ZT

Thanks for the heads up - I suspect the ZT is there with the 75 by default. Whenever I sit in a top of the range 75 I marvel at how the designers produced two such significantly different vehicles from the same body shell.

That said - it would seem unfair in a list to have both the 75 and the ZT - it would have been nice for the ZT to have got a mention tho, - even as a “or the more sporty ZT” bi-line to the 75 entry

I hope they are correct but I am seeing so many cars getting scrapped with electrical problems like ABS and engine management problems I suspect modern cars as classics is a lot less likely than the likes of cars from the 70 and 80's.

The Audi TT for example, I have a customer who has one of these. It is a tidy car but has had endless ABS problems that is the ABS controller. The unit has been off for repair and came back as not repairable. A new unit is £1400 from Audi. The owner is probably going to scrap it or sell it as spares or repair when it fails the next MOT as he does not want to spend any more money on it. No rust, less than 90k on the clock and has been serviced annually.

I was a passenger in one of THESE tonight, and I can confirm it was superior to the 75 or ZT in almost every respect.
