Default No need for timing belt.

Ad says no need for timing belt but also doesn't mention any form of service history.
Wondering if it's another case of mistaken belief that all 75's have BMW engines. Could be I'm misunderstanding the ad. in which case enlightenment would be welcome.

I think you misunderstood the fact that the seller is obviously mechanically deficient and has no clue what he's jabbering on about

Thanks for fast reply but if I'd just had them done I think I would have mentioned it.

Possibly but surely he'd have put that in the advert, even if it was only to say I've just spent £whatever on this car

That was my first thought, the belts have been done.
Seller would have to be able to prove beyond doubt.
Car looks nice, great colour.

If the paperwork isn't there, assume it's not been done.

Could be a typo. Perhaps should read "In need of ..."

As the car is about to hit it's 16th birthday, it SHOULD be only 2 years away from it's 4th set of belts!

I have a feeling that it's still on it's originals though!
