Default French tolls

has anyone had experience of using french tolls driving a Rover 75 using the liber-t tag system where the tag is fixed to the front windscreen behind the rear view mirror? Are there any problems?

Used this system back in 2012 going to Carcassone in the ZT with no issues......except take notice of which lane you approach as not all booths are tag acceptable. From experience the 'tag' lanes tend to be the outer/end lanes to allow for swift entry/exit. Enjoy you're trip......their roads are far more smoother and superior which makes driving a 75 even more enjoyable.

System works fine, just make sure you're in a lane with the big 'T'

That's a bit of an understatement :-)
Driving back from PoL (currently in Dover), the english roads are a big disappointment...

I don't think anyone would argue with you on that subject.

Brilliant system. Saves a huge amount of hassle if you are by yourself - no more stretching across the passenger seat to reach for tickets etc.

The fast tag lane is the far left lane as you reach the barriers - has the larger T over the lane - barrier usually up before you reach it unlike the "ordinary" T lanes where you have to wait for the barrier ro rise.

You can have a UK tag and pay through your UK bank or a French one if you have a French bank account and delivery address for the tag.

Driven across France twice using this system and the only disappointment is when you get to Spain and it stops working! Use it and never look back!

You can order them from here:

https://www.saneftolling.co.uk/artic...-telepeage-tag

I got sent details of an offer when I booked a crossing with the Channel Tunnel that saved me the cost of the little tag that goes on the windscreen but it was only 12€ or something and well worth it for the convenience!
