I'm currently waiting of the second coat of paint drying on the rear arms, the cavity wax is on a radiator warming through, and the shultz gun is cleaned and ready.

It has to be boxed up tonight, there is a more pressing case in Typhoon requiring ramp time for tomorrow
The cavity wax seems a better option than a block of lard

Nah, if it had been good service it would have been back in the post the day it arrived, not after the weekend

Thanks Brian - I am always nervous about blade removal! I tend to be a bit over zealous

One less job on my list!

Well almost finnished servicing my 75 manual CDTI Connie. I had always taken my cars to the local garage in Shap. Old fashioned good service and bills were small. Unfortunately after the owner passed away the garaged closed. I have not serviced any of my cars for decades but with no one I trust local I decided it was a job I would do. I never have much time working away so time is limited. I bought the service kit from DMGRS and some of Millers finest Nano oil.

Nothing ever goes to plan. Two weeks ago got the car up and tried to remove the sump plug.....Thor would have failed! So gave up on that and set about the air filter done 1 part down. PCV found I did not have the correct socket..blast. Two weeks later back home Pela bought and the sockets required. Oil out filter changed Millers in. PCV also done. I still have to fit a inline thermostat and the pollen filter. I will get them next time I am home.

Well at least I can now use the car for my back a forth travels the wifes mini was not the best for luggage and a relaxing motorway cruise.

Thanks to DMGRS and the internet I now have almost all to hand allowing me to service not only the Rover but the other cars in the home the 2006 Mini One owned from new, my 260 and the daughters Fiesta 1.0 ecoboost. Positive result and strangely I quite enjoyed it!

Regards Steve
