Up onto the ramps and dropped out the lube oil on the ZT, changed the filter and refilled with 6.75 litres of nice new stuff
I then decided the weep from the clutch master should be next. Two clips removed pedal taken off, then pull back the boot to remove the circlip and the piston was out. There was an obvious failing of the secondary seal on inspection, plus the non return valve was choked with debris, which accounted for the intermittent bite point, but the endoscope revealed a perfect bore. One refurbished piston and a quick bleed then out for a test drive, a perfect pedal and smooth clutch once more Once I've a little more time, I'll change the entire clutch including fitting the new master, but for the time being it's nigh enough for pit work Brian Last edited by marinabrian; 27th May 2018 at 15:47.. |

Pollen filter change
Did the pollen filter and checked the plenum hole today.
Had the filter since November and the more i have read the more i have put it off. Watched a few Utubey videos and read posts on here, finally thought NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD-NAUGHTY WORD- it just do it. 15 minutes later i was back in the house woop, if anyone needs to do it and is putting it off, just do it simples as the furry thing says. |

As you say 15 minutes if a petrol, diesel may take a little longer first time as the ecu gets in the way a bit more, link below https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...d.php?t=170300

new spare wheel
I have the quite unusual Y-Spoke wheels on my car, but an old steel (although full size) spare.
So the other day I took the opportunity of the Rimmers mega-sale to pick up one more Y-Spoke at what I thought was a good price. Got a new tyre put on it yesterday, so now I have a nice new spare wheel that no-one is ever likely to see, but at least I know it matches all the others! And if I do get a puncture I don't have to do a double swap. (I therefore also have a full size steel wheel with a not very good tyre on it that I will shortly put in the Freebees section.)

Today I had the unenviable task of winding back my passenger side electric seat by hand as it was stuck too far forward. About halfway through I remembered that I had a antique hand drill somewhere, it made life a lot easier, I just wish I had a wireless drill...
