Default Suitable spray glue for headlining

Any recommendations for a suitable spray glue for the headlining?

Mine has just started dropping in the rear window back pillar area.

Thanks.

You wont be able to use spray adhesive to stick it back. The reason its dropped is due to the foam backing having disintegrated and turned to sawdust type crumbs.
If its only a small area you could use these which work well, I have also used ordinary coloured head pins pushed in at an angle to good effect.

.
Alternatively you need to remove the whole headlining, scrape off all the perished foam backing and recover, any adhesive used must be heat resistant. A much bigger job.

I did it on my 25 1.4 with a glue intended to be used with heavy wallpapers (with brush only) and it did well.
Nevertheless as the back part was too loose I've used the coloured head pins above. The headlining is now sticking well everywhere.
On my 75 V6 I've used the same glue for the four doors fabric and the same brush. It's now as neat as in the beginning. At the moment the genuine 1999 headlining is still perfect. Wish me luck!

Heat resistant glue is required, it gets extremely hot between the headlining and the roof skin.

I've put in three or four stitches to hold my saggy bit up. They're unobtrusive but not tidy as you have to find a section of the foam backing strong enough to stay put while the curved needle & cotton pass through it which means you can't follow the same path with subsequent passes of the needle. Easy enough though & I certainly prefer them to coloured-head pins all over the show.

Mines starting to sag slightly in localized areas too (I'm not talking about my age ) and its only going to get worse as time passes. Using a curved sewing needle sounds like a great plan, but what is there behind the headlining to sew it on to. I've never seen one dismantled to actually know.

Thanks for all the advice.

As suggested the foam is crumbling and powdery so I've gone for the fabric threaded pin approach for now as the drooping is fairly localised at the back corner.

I'll just have to see what happens from there.

Cheers

This is the problem i have got with mine but mine was caused by water getting in. I pulled some of the headlining down to try and see where the water was coming from but now sadly i cant get it back up and its quite obvious to me that there is no chance of fixing it back up as neatly as it should be. I have contacted a specialist company in the West Midlands who have quoted me £450 to remove the sunroof and replace the headlining.

I've used trimfix from Amazon.

If you are planning on redoing the headlining don't use glue to stick the old one back up as it makes the removal of the old material harder than it needs to be come the time. Definitely stick with the pins or your stich method if you will redo it
