Default Which brand of clutch?

Hi guys

Looking to get my slave cylinder replaced as it is leaking so will be getting the clutch done at the same time. Which clutch do I go for and slave? I am on a budget, however. Many thanks. Ravinder.

I think it is a choice between the all-metal slave (which seems reliable so far), and LUK. Do not try any other makes - you may regret it !

I think Jules in North Wales did recently report some LUK slave failures, so it may be useful to get his opinion as well as that of Andy Willi

Mileage is 197k. I keep losing the clutch pedal and have to bleed it every time. Clutch master cylinder was leaking, that has now been replaced. Since then, the slave now appears to have gone. Also, what appears to be clutch fluid in the bell housing area under neath.

OK no doubt then,
at that mileage ,if you want to keep your car, change all
parts except Flywheel which must be checked for play.

Some recommand now Tazu (master+slave)..

And ,if you intend to DIY,see:

Good luck

When you say replace everything, you mean clutch and slave cylinder? Think I will get the one that Matt does at £204.99. Ouch!

Borg and Beck or LUK, unless you can afford OEM parts

Thanks guys. Appreciate it. Does the flywheel need replacing or should it be ok? Also, is this a good time to change the gearbox oil? I don't think mine has ever been changed. Can this be done easily enough? Is there anything else that should be checked whilst everything is off? Thanks.
