Tam Leek Meet 27.6.14

The next Tam Leek Meet at The Hawes Inn at South Queensferry will be 27.6.14.

Usual set up Dinner at 7.30pm, so just add your names and you can be sure of a nice warm welcome from Helga....

Please be aware this is not an official 75 & ZT Owners Club meet and as such is not covered by the Club’s public liability insurance. Also the Owners Club take no responsibility for the meet/event in any way.

Hopefully nothing will get in way this time. Was nearly at last two but always seemed to be that something got in way.

The view of the Forth Bridge has brought back memories. I have never been across the bridge, but many years ago I was taken under the bridge from South Queensferry by the RN to visit HMS Vanguard, which was anchored downriver.

Does anyone remember the occasion and know the date?

Have a good meet - wish I could make it.

Now HMS Vanguard was britains last battleship, still with 8 x 15" guns, i would google HMS Vanguard, it's a shame we never preserved any of our heavy units.
