Hiya. I have just clean off the cam cover and cleaned this too.....It says in the book it is a crankcase filter.... Although, it does say, "filters"....How many should there be...? 2 or 1.? [IMG][/IMG]

I think there is only one, alot of the old cars used these sort of filters as a crankcase filter.More or less a brilo pad idea.Just filters the gunk out of the engine like a pcv filter on a diesel.MGBs+proper minis had then built into the oil filler cap

I am looking for a cheap back box for my 2004 facelift 75 1.8. My question - will a box from the pre-facelift fit? (There aren't many facelift Rovers breaking on ebay.)

Rimmer brothers doesn't list separate boxes for the facelift so i can only assume so.
this thread is quite an age, it may be better to post a new thread in the technical section to be sure.
