Been on here for a couple of months now so not that much of a newbie, found this site 'after' I bought my first ever Rover and tbh ... initially i chose to join this forum purely because the 'other forum' took absolutely ages to load anything, really annoyed me. haha!!
Turned out to be the correct decision, really helpful peeps on here, have learned sooooo much about my 75 and continue to do so, it's also nice to be able to now give advice to new members too (having learned how to sort problems with the help of the tech guys here.) Long may it reign. |

Hello everyone, been looking at the site over last few months getting a feel for 75s.
Simple story, plan to take part in a Banger Bust Up rally to Split in Croatia in July with a mate and being 2 old farts decided we need something comfortable rather than squeezing our Saga aged bodies into a small tatty hatchback. So been looking around with a view to getting the car by Easter. The other night saw ad on Autotrader and now the proud owner of Willy, a 2001 2.0 CDT Club So it's Split or Bust, "willy" or won't he make it lol And today is Willy's 18th birthday based on 1st registration date 2 March 2001. More to follow with pics Looking forward to sharing Willy's adventures with you all. |

newbie/oldie
Hello all,
I have already had so much help and gained so much info from this great club, so time to join…I have become the accidental owner of an '04 75 CDTi Connoisseur that my friend has given me as he didn't want to scrap it after purchasing (yet another) 75. I needed wheels as my possessed Ford Probe 2.5 V6 threw a tantrum when I decided to park and hide it for the sake of my sanity. So much fun, so much drama and so pretty. I got 3 points and a hundred pound fine within an hour of buying it so I should have known… I wasn't overly excited about the new wheels but on the drive home I started to feel very calm and relaxed and surprised at the level of gadgetry at my fingertips… It's a massage on wheels. I find myself making excuses to go for a drive, I love this car! So now I am wanting to fix and tart up the imperfections on what was supposed to be a temporary runaround while the Probe was on the naughty step…Here we go! I love my Probe and it will roll again but it gets me in so much trouble. Hence… PRoverB Cheers. Adam |

Thanks,
All those and more jobs on the list with help from here. First task was to de-skunk the interior, my generous benefactor is a smoker and I inherited a mobile ash tray/skip. At first I wasn't sure if it was the fumes or the car that was relaxing me. Thankfully it is the car. Minor problems seem to be fixing themselves too... It must be feeling the love. |
