Default Joe Grundy actor dies

Edward Kelsey who played Joe Grundy in The Archers has died aged 88.

Have to say The Archers used to be one of my guilty pleasures before I “sort off” retired. I used to travel a lot round the West Country and would often find myself driving to or from appointments when it was on after lunch or early evening.

Haven’t listened to it in years tho.

Like Joe Grundy or not (and I think Edward Kelsey was brilliant in the part), unless they use another actor, they’ll have to find another way of identifying characters in each scene - JG always used their full name - eg "mornin', David Archer".
