Freelander 1 take the same, again ask the questions what is the code inside of the unit. Also the box must have an hologram on it.

You will not find one under that part number of the insert, from an official genuine source, all you can buy is the complete unit - case+insert.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

So will have to wait til back from the IOW, and just for fun the original old maf has just popped the mil light on . And my code reader says it's off

Have got a confirmation from one eBay seller that the maf they sell has the correct insert.

It wasn't unheard of to find MAF correct numbers on fake MAF units. Make sure the seller has a good reputation.

I don't think the MAF can put the MIL light on, but perhaps someone else might be able to confirm?

It is more completely monitored on the diesel automatic is the answer.

And in answer to Chris's original observation of the circuit, the MAF is a Wheatstone bridge circuit, and as well as that element, there is a constant current PSU on there.

To understand the Wheatstone bridge for ease, I'm including this link

The unknown resistance in the circuit is the platinum hotwire, which resistance alters as the air passing over it cools the wire.

Did a reset, only cos I wanted to give the 260's battery a bit of daily driving. Check engine light still on and my Reader says its not on and no codes .

So going deep in the pockets when I get back, most likely new Pulley, belts, Injector or 2 and a Maf.

and maybe some suspension Overhauling

The only one who has replied is a about 15 miles from me, Driven2automotive

the other didn't answer properly just wanted to know my car details so they can find the right one ? so a bit suspect that one ?

Other than that dozens of aftermarkets at varying prices from recognised makers ? , and probably tons of Chineses knockoffs.
