Take it off and get one made up by someone like Pirtek Unit 4 Scala Ct, Leeds LS10 1BG, Ferschl etc.

Nothing like getting a hydraulic hose manufactured or repaired by someone who does this for a living...........saves loads of grief

Checked all the fluids, lights, brake pipes, tyres, cleared all the faults with T4 after adding another horn yesterday, so now it is ready for it's first MOT in my ownership, we will see how it fairs later this week, injectors look to be in nice health so just the big Italian tune up 20 minutes before I arrive at the MOT station.

Default What I did with my Rover 75/MG ZT today?

A working weekend so as the other half is in Scotland, I decided to change the interior of my Contemporary V6 Tourer , well change the carpet and repair the driver’s seat.



To deep sea green.

Spent the morning refitting the o/s wheel arch liner and fitting a mud flap, and fabricating some fixings for it. Replaced a broken blue push in plug for the abs sensor. Got the wiring back to front so the speedo didn't work I got 1/4 mile down the road before I realised.
Replaced the air and crankcase filters. Cleared a months worth of junk and tools out of the boot.

Spent a couple hours at my cricket club cutting grass this afternoon. We have to tow our tractor gang mower around because the engine is not working. The car got a bit warm, it had a good pressure test of the cooling system following the coolant change last week. The cooling fan cut in an out as it should, and the stat opened and closed when it should too.

Whilst driving over the bumps in the field at low speed i noticed a lot of banging coming from the o/s front wheel, i hadn't noticed this on the roads. I jacked it up to investigate, and discovered a lot of play in the o/s track rod end causing the wheel to rattle about.
I thought i'd finished the suspension work

Finally got my underseat subwoofer cabled up to my Xtrons DD head unit after realising the cables I've been looking for for a few days were already connected to it...


Slid it under the passenger seat for now till I decide on a permanent location - airbag light now off too



...and watched the Dinitrol that I sprayed into my doors on Sunday, wash out with the downpour today

Wondered what the clonking and vibration through the handbrake was - it's the exhaust fouling the tunnel brace. Rubbers must have stretched.

Wondered what the scraping noise was - clips have pulled out of the wheelarch liner and it's twisted down over time until it caught the floor.


Had a look at what codes it's thrown today - only P1300 and P1316 this time. Improvement over yesterday when it also had P0302. Really at a loss with this misfire now.
Seriously questioning my sanity and wondering if it's time to find a new car.


Then 3 hours later I spent nearly £350 on new front lower arm and rear arms...

Just ordered the same kit for Copperleaf. Upper Arms, lower arms, and rear links with ball joint plus all nuts and bolts. Delivery in next couple of days. Should never need doing again! Coming from DMGRS.

That statement will apply once the paint has been removed properly from the new items, then repainted with decent paint.

Remember to check if the two halves of the upper arms are actually welded together before doing any of this, and you must reshape the yoke at the outboard end, to allow it to fit the rose joint bush in the trailing arm correctly.

Finally, make sure the outboard bolts are not seized in the rose joints, as it this the case you will need a new joint ready to fit
