I agree ... ugly but if it serves a purpose then fine but I certainly would not fit one just because it's an option.

But are they any worse than some of the other "upgrades" that people fit to their cars?

I say do what you like to your own car, just stay away from mine.

If you need to shift something why not? However the roof rack I used on my 200s and 400s doesn't fit the ZT, so the 25 now does the donkey work...

I know what a roof rack is for, but: 1) Doesn't look right 2) I wouldn't risk scratching/marking the roof.... sorry just me.... besides my mate got a van ha! ha!

Roof bars are aesthetically unpleasant at the best of times, I even hate having them on my van, but hey, needs must.

Ive never thought factory type roof rails look bad on a car - except on the Freelander 2 when they look very much like an after thought. Yep Ive got a Freelander 2, dont have fitted roof rails but need to get a set to transport bikes while towing the caravan.

But what would happen to the ultra rare factory camper

Anyway try taking something that size to the local tip in a van........nope, in a trailer perhaps?........nope, on the top of your super original Rover roof bars.....just see the bloke on the gate swoon over the lockable bars, and the quick release thumbscrews which can be removed in less than a minute
