After yesterday's delayed train journey I eventually reached Ilkeston where I was collected at the station by Tom Hobb's Dad and taken to collect my tourer . What a brilliant job he has carried out making the repair look factory fresh and matching the stone chip line and just primering the repair as I requested.
Today all I had to do was lightly flat the sills and apply the moonstone basecoat and clearcoat whilst the sun shone brightly and was so pleased with the finished job that I rolled across my drive to my Connie and replaced my lower engine mount and undertray screws before celebrating with a couple of beers |

Topped up the oil in the Bear’s supercharger, that’s the 2nd time I had to do that in three and a half years.
Then took her for nice blast up the road .

Finished welding in the replacement off side rear sill section on Big Ron and gave it a coat of primer.
Will paint both sides tomorrow. That just leaves the reversing switch and washers to sort. |

I spotted an MG6 taxi today, it was smoking like a Deltic on cold startup.
Yuk I've covered more miles today in the ZT than I've covered in the 75 since it's last MOT though Brian |
