Default Drivers Side Rear Suspension - Whats that?

Just walked to move my car on the car park, and there is something hanging from the drivers side rear beam/axle

Looks as though its secured with two bolts and one of them has snapped (Nearer the wheel) so still attached, just a bit loose.

There is not one on the passenger side of the car, so either not fitted or its fallen off.

Done a search with no success, so just wondered if anyone knew what it is.

Thanks again

Dave

Do you have a fuel burning heater? The fuel pump for it is in that area. Lee.

That is the deflector that directs air into the fuel oil cooler radiator

You need to remove the bolt securing the bracket that remains intact, then the one where the pop rivet has rotted away, clean everything up, then renew the pop rivets.

Once that's done, it can be reattached to the lower suspension arm.

Have fun

Brian

Cheers Brian,

That makes perfect sense. Didn't seem to be connected to anything and only on drivers side.
Looks like this and trying to get passenger door open the weekend.

Thanks to everyone who responded,
