Air Con Concerns!
Its an early ZT190, its done 67k, its Solar Red, it has some lacquer peel, BUT I LOVE IT!
However, when the aircon is switched on I can hear whirring etc from the engine bay. As it stops when I press the ECON button I am assuming it is the aircon pump, and because I can hear it whirring the pump must be activating/spinning. It certainly doesn't chuck out the cold air I am used to. So do I just get the aircon re-gassed and "re-oiled", or am I looking at a replacement aircon pump; and if so, has anybody used one of the NISSEN pumps advertised on Evil-Bay (they are about £100-£125 cheaper than the DENSO versions)? Why are these things so expensive to resolve on cars worth the same price as the parts? Cheers, Muttley |

I had a similar rustling noise, and it turned out to be the cooling fan motor front bearing which had bought the farm.
