Someone confident with BMW scanner?
Anyone confident using BMW scanner? Do you also have a standard LSM with manual levelling (not Xenon)?
I so could you backup the eeprom data and mail it to me, yes I made a booboo playing with a spare LSM and it's broke, think I might have told it it's a toaster or something PM for email if you need it. Thanks in advance.... Lesson learnt...make sure you have a backup, not just think you have a backup..... Last edited by okenora; 9th August 2014 at 20:27.. |

Would it not need to be from a car identical (engine, equipment fitted etc) to yours or you'd give it an identity crisis. I have a saved copy of my original EEPROM download before tweaking to enable the digital speedo but mine's a 1.8T so doubt if it would be of any use.

hmmm, you may also have corrupted your ZCS??
hope just replacing the bin works... lesson number 1: always copy your software and firmware before playing.... or better still if it aint broke don't try to fix it.. I learned the hard way too !!

ty, don't know about identity crisis, afaik you can't overwrite the VIN and the car this is from already has the wrong IPK so a bit more confusion for the car won't hurt
Now, next problem, the zip won't download keeps trying to download as "attachment.php". maybe by email? think DB is a bit off kilter, if I copy the link to a new window I get a pic of the door latches klarzy posted in another thread...... Last edited by okenora; 10th August 2014 at 09:52.. |
