Someone confident with BMW scanner?

Anyone confident using BMW scanner? Do you also have a standard LSM with manual levelling (not Xenon)?

I so could you backup the eeprom data and mail it to me, yes I made a booboo playing with a spare LSM and it's broke, think I might have told it it's a toaster or something

Lesson learnt...make sure you have a backup, not just think you have a backup.....

Would it not need to be from a car identical (engine, equipment fitted etc) to yours or you'd give it an identity crisis. I have a saved copy of my original EEPROM download before tweaking to enable the digital speedo but mine's a 1.8T so doubt if it would be of any use.

hope just replacing the bin works...

lesson number 1: always copy your software and firmware before playing.... or better still if it aint broke don't try to fix it..

ty, don't know about identity crisis, afaik you can't overwrite the VIN and the car this is from already has the wrong IPK so a bit more confusion for the car won't hurt

Now, next problem, the zip won't download

keeps trying to download as "attachment.php". maybe by email?

think DB is a bit off kilter, if I copy the link to a new window I get a pic of the door latches klarzy posted in another thread......
