12V Power Supply to Towbar Question
Currently wiring up a towbar and need a 12v supply for the bypass relay. I have found the orange & slate 12V cable which I believe should be used for this purpose, didn't need to remove the glovebox as mine was taped in the loom to the side near the top of the footwell.
There is a connector already on the end of this cable, do you know if you can still get the other part of these connectors or do most people cut them off and use something else. Also is it possible that the orange\slate cable may already be live or do they all need connecting to the under bonnet fuse box, if so is a special connector need?. My car is a 51 plate CDT. If the Orange/Slate cable is in a three way connector, it will be connected to fusible link 11 (50 amp) in the engine fuse panel.
If it just has the metal terminal on the end, the other end will be under the engine fuse panel, but not connected to it. |
