Default Anyone replaced a rear wiper motor? Easy job?

My rear wiper slowed then stopped working altogether a few weeks ago.
This morning, I got a burning smell coming from the rear wiper area. I've checked fuse 42 and that's fine. I'm thinking now that I'll need to replace the motor itself. There seem to be plenty on Ebay for £15 or more. Has anyone done this before? Is it an easy job?

Simple job mate once you open the tailgate glass, and remove the plastic cover it’s easy to work out, only three bolts from memory holding it in place nothing complicated

Thanks once again Mickyboy. I've had a look - looks like you have to take the tailgate trim off from the back and get to the motor that way.

The rear wiper on my tourer stops half way. Is this a replacement motor scenario?

Open the rear window and try and move the wiper by hand, it should move really easily, if not its more likely to be a build up of muck / rust on the spindle that passes through the glass.

Remove the spindle and clean it up with 2000 grit wet & dry, and clean the hole that the spindle passes through.

When mine seized I took the plastic cover off, sprayed the spindle with WD every day for a week. Worked it slightly by hand until it moved,
Switched it on and it worked. Now I spray and use it often.
